Q) How soon are the account details given to me after I make my payment?
A) We send you your username and password within 24 hours of the account activation request.

Q) How many POP3 accounts can I have in one account?
A) There is no limit.

A) The number ODBC links depend on the type of account you go for. For a comparision see our

Q) How many FTP accounts can I have in one account?
A) You are allowed only one FTP account per web account.

Q) Do you offer Cold Fusion hosting?
A) Yes. We offer Cold Fusion 4.5 Enterprise hosting at no additional charge.

Q) What is your connection to the Internet?
A) We are connected to a multipeer T3 backbone. We have the capacity to burst up to 100 Mbits of data per second.

Q) Do you support international domains?
A) We are able to host most international domains.

Q) Can I get a dial-up account with you?
A) No, we specialize in web hosting. You will need to get dial-up access through your local ISP.

Q) What about sendmail and formmail?

Q) Can I have my own dns like dns.myname.com?
A) We do not currently offer dns.yourname and dns2.yourname.com with any of our accounts.

Q) What is the minimum contract length?
A) All our accounts have varying contract lengths, depending on the Plan chosen. For example, our Starter plan has a minimum sign-up period of 12 months, the Shopper plan 6 months, Marketer plan 3 months, and all of the larger plans, only 1 month.

Q) Do you offer MS-SQL support?
A) Yes, We offer MS-SQL 7 database support.

Q) Do you offer telephone technical support?
A) Yes...you can ring us on +617 4945 4245 (but remember - we're on Australian time, so watch the time difference). E-mail technical support is much more cost effective and, when we are on-line, you can chat to us live via HumanClick from any page of our website.  We are also available on ICQ for live chat when on-line, or you can leave a message at any time ... our ICQ No. is 23174953 (you will need to register with us as we normally remain in invisible mode).

Q) Can we see some of the sites you host?
A) All of the sites listed in our
Client Portfolio are hosted on our own servers, and you can view them by clicking here, then clicking on any of the screen shots of the sites in the portfolio.

Q) Do you suport Java Servlets?
A) No, but we will be coming with Java Hosting Plans soon.

Q) Do you support JSP (java server pages)?
A) No, but we will be coming with Java Hosting Plans soon.

Q) Can I send bulk, yet targeted e-mail using your servers?
A) No. We consider bulk e-mail of any kind to be spam. We do not tolerate spam.

Q) Can I order unlimited storage space?
A) No, but you can order additional space if you need it. Check our
pricing page for details.

Q) Can I try out an account for awhile before I decide to buy?
A) No, we do not offer trial accounts.

Q) How many IP addresses do I get?
A) We do not give you an IP. All of the sites we host are mapped to the IP of our CoyotePoint Equalizer, which load balances all of the sites we host across all of the servers in our server racks.

Q) Do I get telnet access?
A) No, but since these are Windows NT servers, there is no reason you will need telnet access.

Q) Can my POP accounts be xyz@myname.com?
A) Yes. In fact, you can have unlimited aliases within your domain name and within all of the domains you host.

Q) Can I forward all of the e-mail from my domain to one e-mail account?
A) Yes. A default account is created by us called admin. That is the account that e-mail will go to if the e-mail is sent to an account name within the domain that does not exist.

Q) Which version of Perl does Oz-E-Web use?
A) We use the latest version from ActiveState.

Q) What is the path to perl?
A) You do not need to know the path to perl, since .pl is associated with perl on our Windows NT servers.

Q) What DNS servers should I use when I transfer my domain?
A) The primary server host name should be ns1.dns77.com
The primary server net address should be 64.42.196.129
The secondary server host name should be ns2.dns77.com
The secondary server net address should be 64.42.196.130

Q) Can I set this up so www.mydomain.com and mydomain.com both map to the same place?
A) By default www.domain.com and domain.com always map to the same place.

Q) Can I set it up so that subdomain.mydomain.com would map to a different subdirectory?
A) You can map subdomain.domain.com and somethingelse.com to other subdirectories within your account. For setting up subdomains, please
e-mail us with your requirements.

Q) How do I make a simple text web counter?
A) Use <cf_counter> where ever you want a counter. Use .cfm for the filename extension. For a detailed explanation please see our
Support section.

Q) Do your servers have the runtimes for Visual Basic installed?
A) All of our servers have the VB5/VB6 runtimes installed. Additionally, we have installed most of the ActiveX components that ship with VB5.

Q) Is there any additional fee for using ASP?
A) There is no additional fee for using ASP.

Q) Do I put ASP, and Cold Fusion pages in my cgi-bin?
A) No, ASP, and Cold Fusion pages never belong in the cgi-bin. Place iHTML, ASP, and Cold Fusion pages in normal document directories. Only CGI programs such as those ending in .pl (perl scripts) or native Win32 .EXE programs belong in the cgi-bin directory.

Q) Can I change my default page from index.html to default.asp?
A) The default page is actually index.*, so you could use index.asp instead of index.html if you were planning to build an asp based website.

Q) The URL security utility only seems to accept the www addresses. Will the security applied to the www address also apply to the non www address?
A) It automatically applies to both.

Q) Do you support VBScript 5 on your servers?
A) We are using the latest version of the MS scripting engine.

Q) Do you guarantee a certain level of uptime?
A) No. We do better than just promising uptime. We have actually installed systems to provide uptime. Our load balancing solutions are able to dynamically re-route traffic to other servers if a server is having problems. All of the sites we host are able to benefit from this technology.
